Well, it’s been a little over a week since my ankle surgery, and yesterday marked a milestone. I got a new aircast that fits and crutches that don’t tear my wrist up! And that’s how exciting my life has become. Actually, I’m really enjoying life, ensconced on th couch, with a beautiful view out the back doors to our backyard. Normally, I don’t have time in a day to just sit and look and enjoy. But now I do, and it’s really nice. Once I’m back on my feet, I hope I can hang onto some of the tranquility I”ve found as a gimp.

I have been keeping up with email and the news, and this morning received another missive from Stop the NRA. They are launching a campaign to renew the Assault Weapon ban. I get pretty riled just thinking about the NRA, and all the unnecessary people-killing weapons floating around this country. What are you honestly going to do with an AK-47? Shoot ducks? Come on!! Okay, I’m getting off my soapbox now…
