Pick Yourself Up, Dust Yourself Off…

…start all over again. Chuck had a rough week last week, getting used to life in the collar. But then we saw the doctor last Thursday, and he got a prescription for Vioxx, or as we like to call it, the wonder drug! It cut his swelling down and generally made life bearable. His appetite, and ability to eat solid foods, returned, and things really started looking up. He’s back at work, sitting in front of the computer altogether too much of the time, and can even take the collar off when sitting watching TV. He can start driving next Tuesday, so he’s a really happy camper, feeling very liberated. I am one step closer (so to speak) to getting completely on my feet again – the cast came off today! Now I’m sporting an ankle support sock that looks like a baby cast, but gives me a lot more mobility. I can start driving soon, and have my first physical therapy appt Friday. So it’s a big woohoo! for the O’Shea family. Here are some photos of Chuck’s recovery, and one of the Gimps out for a stroll.

On an unrelated note, a friend told me about a really fun site called dogster.com. if you have a pup, they can have their very own home page at no cost! Here is Mia’s. it takes a total of about five minutes to register and make a page. Just have a digital photo of your canine bud handy and you’re good to go. What would we do without the Internet?
