Well, just as I am beginning to walk on two legs again (okay, one is still encased in the big black cast, but it’s an improvement), Chuck is getting ready for HIS surgery. We had his so-called “Slice and Dice” dinner on Wednesday night (which we also called The Passion of the Chuck as Chuck had been referring to it as the Last Supper which I found too macabre so we came up with a somewhat obscure alternative), and yesterday went to a local salon where he got his (collective inhalation) chest waxed. Our friend Kyra warned us that this was a better idea than shaving which when it starts to grow back is very itchy. So he did the deed, and had a facial as well (his first, and he enjoyed it). I guess he now could be called a metrosexual (but never to his face – only behind his back, please!). He is also busily puttering around the house lifting things as after the surgery he can’t lift anything heavier than 2-3 pounds for up to six months. Wasting no time, he hustled outside this morning and began randomly lifting rocks.
