Well, at least until we think of something else to do. We had the carpet that got chewed up by the hardwood floor installation (glue+carpet=big mess) replaced. So: three bedrooms and the stairs are sporting new carpet (and we went with COLOR again! I don’t know what’s come over me. The bedroom is a bold brick/terracotta and the stairs are a deep green that matches the couch). No biggy, you’re thinking. Hah! Obviously you aren’t taking into account our 350 lb widescreen TV that the carpet installers wouldn’t touch. And the TV was recently raised to a glorious height in the new armoire we had built to accomodate it. *sigh* And Chuck was out of town teaching. *sigh* Thank goodness my brother-in-law and his brother came down and with much grunting and groaning and huffing and puffing were able to move it. I directed that portion but handled a good piece of the rest of the stuff on my own, once again pondering whether I wouldn’t have better suited with a career in moving and storage. If I have to move our books one more time, however, I may just decide reading sucks and ship them off to the local Friends of the Library. But enough grumbling. On a really happy note, there’s a new member of the family. Chuck got a new G5, and is happily setting it up. Images of the new carpet and G5 are here.
