MacWorld, Day One. Steve Jobs did his usual amazing keynote and saved all the big announcements for the last 15 minutes! The biggest news was all over the rumor pages for the last couple of weeks – a low cost Mac sans display, or as he said “BYODKM.” Well, this is it – the Mac mini, starting at $499 for a 1.25 GHz G4, and the really awesome fact is that it’s smaller than a lunchbox!! Oh, and then there’s the small matter of the iPod shuffle (say goodbye to your market share, Rio). More tomorrow from a so far very cool show.
