The answer is “sphygmomanometer.” I was reading feeds from ehow.com, and one of them was entitled “How to Check Your Blood Pressure With a Sphygmomanometer.” I spent the next minute or two trying to say that word. I think I’ll stick with “that thing the doctor takes my blood pressure with.”
