Yikes! Has it really been a month?

Wow, time flies when you are working non-stop! And we have been! We’re getting a little downtime this weekend, though, and we’re heading up to Solvang to run the Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon. It’s a beautiful point to point course (from Los Olivos to Solvang) and everybody gets a wine glass at the finish and can then go do some wine tasting at the race expo area. Neat!

We’re staying at what we hope will be a very neat place: the Storybook Inn. We found it last year and decided it looked a whole lot more charming than the Holiday Inn Express we were staying at. I’m looking forward to a bit of chill time after such a jam-packed month (including my first ever colonoscopy this past Monday – argh!).

worm tea!The really big news here at Chez O’Shea involves our worms (or as I like to think of them, worms 2.0). Yesterday I drained a whole bowl full of worm tea out of the chalet!! Yes, the kids are alive and thriving! I offered Chuck $20 if he’d take a sip of the worm tea, but he wouldn’t take me up on it. Chicken!
