The end of the adventure (this one, at least)

Chuck’s motorcycle trip was cut a bit short by the sad news that our friend Bev had passed away. So he didn’t dilly-dally as much on the way home, spending only one night on the road. Overall, he had a great time, and is happily thinking about his next trip. I need to work on not stressing out and worrying about him all the time. *sigh* Anyway, here is Chuck’s final take on the adventure:

My Big Adventure Day 5. Back home. With the passing of Bev my heart was not on the fun of riding through the countryside so I just pushed on and made it back home safe and sound early this afternoon [Tuesday]. I can say the bike handles great at 80 (don’t tell Eileen that I went that fast and a little faster at times). After this trip I can see that I’d like to make a few, but just a few, upgrades to the bike. Like highway pegs and foot pads.

The next adventure? I think we will do a Paso Robles trip. Eileen will take the train up to Santa Barbara and I’ll take the bike and meet her there and then we will ride together up to Paso Robles. Great Central Coast wine county. As I won’t drink and drive the bike (no exceptions) it will be a good reason to do a limo tour!

Not sure when this will be but when it happens I’ll keep you posted.
