Phew! It was a lot more work than anticipated, but the hardwood floors have been laid! It took about twice as long as anticipated, from start to finish, but they look amazing, and I think Chuck would agree it was worth all the bother. The only tasks left are to finish the molding and restore order to the office and living room. We also need to replace the carpet on the stairs (a casualty of the cement). The final push came Friday and it took most of the day to lay the last half of the office. We spent the weekend doing cleanup, a big job in itself. The spare bedroom is now in need of help as it was turned into a workroom and is currently full of sawdust and equipment.
