So we had this bright idea – let’s move web hosting services! Our old hosting service had bad spam filtering, the new one was much better (see entry from August 7 in which I optimistically relate the joys of switching). All good, right? Well, we started the process and got the new service running but forgot one thing – we had the MT database in the database section of the old service — all of our files were fine but the database that ran MT was – you guessed it – nuked because we forgot to tell the old service to archive it for us (or archive it ourselves). So here we are a few days later and the only solution was to do a fresh install of MT and recreate the old blog. At least I have all of the static files. So be patient, the O’Sheas will be blogging again soon.
Lessons learned: backup, backup backup!!!!!!!!
